Ceramic Core Chip Inductor
Ceramic Core Chip Inductor covers wound chip inductors using a non-ferromagnetic ceramic support. An inductor stores magnetic energy; core choice, winding and package introduce loss, bias response and parasitic capacitance.

Product & engineering
Understand the product.
The distinguishing feature is wound chip inductors using a non-ferromagnetic ceramic support. Separate peak-current behavior from RMS heating. A magnetic core's saturation limit uses a stated inductance-drop criterion; temperature-rise current uses a stated thermal condition. RF parts additionally need Q and self-resonance at the operating frequency. An air-core coil has no ferromagnetic saturation limit but still has conductor heating and parasitic resonance.
What turns activity into demand
Qualified circuit positions and inductors per accepted assembly determine unit demand. RF, power and suppression duties require different constructions.
The commercial boundary
Separate component units from modules; package labels alone do not identify bias, saturation or heating duty.
