Cookies and browser storage

Cookies are small values a browser can send with requests. Session storage normally belongs to a tab session; local storage can remain after a tab closes. Page memory is different: it holds the current page's state without writing that state to either type of storage.

This local preview uses session storage for research-list browsing state. It adds no optional analytics or advertising cookies. It does not use an application, enquiry or payment submission service.

Enquiries, applications and purchase drafts

Contact, custom research, reseller and Careers forms keep entered details and review edits in the current page's memory. The purchase flow keeps the receiving email and billing draft in that page. Account-preview edits also stay on their current page.

These forms do not write your contact details, sales experience, partnership description, sales estimate or invoice address to cookies, session storage or local storage. Closing a form section, changing steps or cancelling a review edit can retain the draft while you remain on the page.

Refreshing or leaving normally clears the page draft. A browser may restore a page, autofill values or retain a page in its back/forward cache. Do not rely on refresh or closing a tab as a secure-erasure method on a shared computer. Browser autocomplete and saved passwords are controlled by the browser.

A browser departure warning can appear after details have been entered. It protects an unfinished draft; it is not a cookie-consent request.

Research browsing state

When returning to the research list, session storage can restore expanded rows, loaded results, scroll position and the focused report. This convenience is separate from an order record or a report licence.

No research brief or application is passed to another form through browser storage. If session storage is unavailable, core research pages still work; previous browsing state may not be restored.

Your browser controls

Use your browser's privacy settings to inspect, block or clear cookies and site data for the current site's address. Clearing site data removes stored research browsing state. Browsers can restore tab sessions, so inspect and clear retained site data when necessary.

This preview has no optional analytics or advertising service to enable, so it does not display an inactive consent switch. A connected website needs a verified inventory of its technologies, purposes, providers and retention periods, with consent choices where required, before those optional services are enabled.

External payment providers and professional-profile websites have their own storage and privacy notices.
