Adsorption Air Dryer
An adsorption air dryer removes water vapor from compressed air by contacting it with a desiccant. A regenerative arrangement restores the desiccant's working capacity after a drying period. A common twin-tower design dries the process air in one vessel while the other is regenerated, then switches their duties.
