A 12V DC linear actuator converts electrical input from a nominal twelve-volt supply into linear movement. In a common rod-style arrangement, a geared electric motor turns a screw and nut mechanism that extends or retracts an output member. The voltage designation defines an electrical supply class rather than the actuator's force, speed or continuous-duty capability.
