Florfenicol is a monofluorinated derivative of thiamphenicol. Florfenicol is a chloramphenicol broad-spectrum antibiotic that can effectively inhibit bacteria. Its antibacterial activity is stronger than that of chloramphenicol and thiamphenicol. Florfenicol overcomes the problems that chloramphenicol is prone to drug resistance and aplastic anemia, and has the characteristics of wide antibacterial spectrum, good oral absorption, wide distribution in the body, high bioavailability, and safe application.
