Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF)
Polyvinylidene fluoride is a fluoropolymer supplied in forms for applications including chemical equipment, membranes, coatings and battery-related formulations.

Product & engineering
Understand the product.
PVDF is a polymer with several crystalline forms depending on the processing conditions. It has a melting temperature (~170 oC) significantly lower than that of the other fluoropolymers. The normal processing temperatures for PVDF are in the range 200–260 °C, and the continuous service temperature for PVDF is up to 150 °C.
Molecular characteristics, formulation and polymer structure influence processing and properties. Chemical compatibility depends on the medium and conditions.
A membrane, binder formulation and moulded fitting use different material functions. Their finished-product tonnes are not interchangeable measures of PVDF resin demand.
What turns activity into demand
Physical consumption follows accepted material content in the downstream article. Resin, solutions or dispersions, membranes and finished components have separate boundaries.
The commercial boundary
