Gas Separation Membranes is an interphase between two adjacent phases acting as a selective barrier, regulating the transport of gases among gas mixtures.

The distinguishing feature is selective barriers separating gases through differential transport. Use mixed-feed transport behavior at the intended temperature and pressure ratio. Permeance and selectivity interact with membrane area, staging and recycle to determine recovery. Condensable contaminants and plasticization can alter the result; a pure-gas value alone does not establish packaged-system performance.
