Twin-Screw Pumps is a displacement pump consisting of a casing containing two parallel screws with intermeshing threads fitted to prevent backward movement of fluid

The selected screw geometry must accommodate viscosity, inlet conditions and any entrained gas or solids. Hygienic designs can serve product transfer and cleaning duties, but each duty requires its own accepted operating conditions.

Product transfer and cleaning circulation impose different flow and viscosity requirements. A dual-duty installation changes the equipment arrangement rather than simply doubling pump demand.
