Amount of MgO used in olivines in the industry is usually required to be above 46% and the amount of Total Fe oxides to be no more than 7-8%. Also, SiO2 amount needs to be between 38 to 42%. Total of other metal oxides required being less than 3% and loss on ignition is required not to exceed 2%.
