In the leather industry, it is employed for dehairing raw hides and in the tanning process. In the fertilizer industry, it is used to remove monomeric sulfur from activated carbon desulfurizers. It is extensively used in the mining industry for copper ore flotation. Additionally, in the production of synthetic fibers, it is utilized for sulfurous dyeing.
