EVOH Resin for Packaging Film refers to a family of ethylene–vinyl alcohol copolymers engineered as high-barrier functional layers in multilayer packaging films, where their exceptionally low oxygen permeability, chemical resistance, and processing compatibility provide long-shelf-life protection for food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and industrial products. Produced through controlled copolymerization and hydrolysis of ethylene–vinyl acetate precursors, EVOH resins exhibit tunable ethylene content, enabling balanced barrier performance, moisture sensitivity, melt strength, and coextrusion behavior. In multilayer structures—typically combined with polyolefins, nylon, and adhesive tie-layers—EVOH acts as the core barrier layer in blown or cast film processes, preventing oxidative degradation, flavor loss, aroma migration, and quality deterioration.
