With the formula C₁₄H₂₀ and a molecular weight of 188.31 g/mol, it can be viewed as a tricyclic framework constructed from three fused cyclohexane units. The lattice is an all-sp³, rigid three-dimensional network whose local connectivity echoes that of diamond, conferring exceptional chemical inertness, thermal robustness, and pronounced hydrophobicity.
